Horsham Bars Pubs and Restaurants - The Bax Castle
The beautiful Bax Castle is a 16th century country pub between Horsham and Southwater. Head towards Christ's Hospital and once past it - look to your left.
Run by Glenn and his new manager Angela, The Bax Castle serves high quality traditional home made English food - sourced locally. Hams are cooked on the premises - at this time of year, Rabbit Stew is again on the menu - delicious!
Inside The Bax Castle is much larger than one might anticipate - as well as two roaring log fires and a friendly bar area (dogs are very welcome...),there are two large dining areas which can accommodate up to 50 diners. The dining rooms are also available to hire as private function rooms. Ideal for family celebrations including: birthdays, weddings, christenings, and other special occasions.
Set in spacious gardens with plenty of alfresco tables and a large play area for children, one of things that makes The Bax Castle really special is that the Downs Link literally runs at the bottom of the car park! If you like walking and cycling, it is the ideal spot to park up - and take the family for a beautiful country walk before returning for a hearty lunch or Sunday roast. You can also pick up the Downs Link in Southwater - just opposite the The Southwater Surgery - walk or cycle down the Downs Link for around 10-15 minutes and you will arrive at The Bax Castle.
The Bax Castle gardens can also accommodate Marquee hire, with outside bars, spit roasts. barbeques, buffets and formal catering.
Mobile licensed bar also available for hire.
