Awards ceremony marks great year for Letting firms
To celebrate a fantastic year of success in the lettings industry, more than 200 top performers from across the country attended a glittering awards ceremony on 12th March.
Leon Betchley, Regional Director of Countrywide Residential Lettings was voted Top Regional Director at the Las Vegas themed awards night.
Leon looks after 36 offices across the south coast of the country and seven out of the ten top performing branches came from Leon’s region.
Leon said: “It makes me tremendously proud. We are very lucky have some of the most professional, dedicated and competent staff – and probably some of the best in the industry!”
The stars shone brightly at the event, with 80 awards presented in a specially designed suite of Whittlebury Hall, set in Northamptonshire countryside.
After the guests made their grand entrance and were officially piped into the ball room, a three-course meal was laid on, complete with live music and entertainment before the ‘Vegas’ themed roulette and black jack tables were unveiled.
The awards recognise individual and team success in the realms of sales performance, property management, legal, accountancy, performance improvement, audit, training, insurance sales, personal development and long service. Each award is judged on performance during 2008, set against a tough set of criteria, with 204 branches and more than 1,485 staff competing to win.
Leon said: “We’ve grown tremendously over the last 12 months and have continued to go the extra mile for local landlords and tenants. We offer expert advice to anyone new to lettings and have a team of qualified professionals to help with your property needs.”
Countrywide Residential Lettings (CRL), is the UK’s largest and most successful lettings business, who also hosted the event.
John Hards, CRL Managing Director, said: “This was by far the biggest and best staff awards event yet. We achieved our targets during 2008 and have good reason to celebrate, with new acquisitions, branches and nearly doubled our managed portfolio, making us the UK’s biggest and most successful lettings business.
“The awards have grown in size and popularity over the years and due to the scale of the business, this is our only chance to unite talented staff, share ideas and reward their achievements.
John added: “We have staff with more than 20 or 30 years industry experience and new colleagues who are qualifying and flying up the ranks, achieving great things. The service they offer local tenants and landlords is truly outstanding.”
