Young dancers from Horsham enjoyed a magical experience last weekend by performing at Disneyland Paris.

Casey Stone, The principal of Brooklands, was given the opportunity to take a team of 32 budding street dancers, and showcase their talents in their very own20 minute production on the main Fantasyland Festival stage.

During their three day excursion, the dancers were able to enjoy the magic of Disneyland Park and Disney Studios with their friends and families who joined them.

On Saturday evening the dancers, aged between eight and 23, performed five routines, including their showstopping ‘Ghosts’ to finish.

Caset said: “It has been incredible. I can’t put into words how memorable it was, not just for me and the dancers, but for  their family and friends too.

“I had parents come up to me crying or laughing through tears thanking me for the experience. I have to admit, I had a few tears at the side of the stage during their finale.

“It just hits you where they are  performing all of a sudden, and how proud you are to be part of it.

“Children in this business now, have so many wonderful things to look forward too. It’s wonderful. What a great team building adventure it has been.

Professional dancer and close friend of Casey’s, Dan Gregory, has been performing at the theme park in High School Musical  for three years and he arranged for a special meet and greet with the High School Musical dancers, while other Brooklands members were pulled up to help during the musical’s main street performance.

Casey added: “We got special time with the Disney characters.  I am looking forward to doing it all over again next year!”

Brooklands hold classes on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings at Horsham Rugby Club. For more information visit www.brooklandsstudios.webs.com or contact Casey on 07547 066025.
