Panto

This Christmas, The Capitol Theatre in Horsham is proud to present Cinderella.

Following the incredible success of last year’s Peter Pan panto, this year’s festive treat will be filled with glitter and glamour, wands and wishes, rags and riches – not to mention a pair of wicked and ugly stepsisters.

You can expect plenty to hiss and boo at, lots of sing-along songs, as well as plenty of fun and jokes for the children…and adults too!

Justin Fletcher, one of children’s television best known presenters with credits including Tikkabilla, Fun Song Factory, Higgledy House, Something Special, takes on the role of Buttons.

Justin said: “You can expect a lot of slapstick! I’ve a big fan of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, and I use a lot of facial expressions in what I do.

“I think we’ll be having lots of fun!

The role of Cinderella is played by the beautiful Stacey Cadman, best known for her role as the title character in Cavegirl.

Justin and Stacey are joined by Billy Boyle as Baron Hardup, Sara Weymouth as the Fairy Godmother, Richard Meek as Prince Charming, John Barr as Dandini and making a welcome return to The Capitol after their appearances two years ago in Dick Whittington are Nicholas Pound and Tom Lowe playing the ugly sisters.

Michael Gattrell, General Manager of The Capitol & Producer of 'Cinderella' said  “I am delighted to have secured the talent of such an iconic Children's superstar to play Buttons, along with a cast of very talented actors with fine voices.

“We will give The Capitol's audience a pantomime to remember. We are really pleased with the ticket sales so far,” he added.

“Last year broke records but it looks like they are going out faster as more and more people learn who is in the cast!”

With great characters, a fairytale story and dazzling costumes, Cinderella promises to be a real treat for all the family this Christmas.

Cinderella runs for 41 performances from Thursday 10th December 2009 until Sunday 3rd January 2010 and is the 6th in-house produced pantomime at The Capitol.

Tickets are available by calling the box office on 01403 750220 or visiting the website at www.thecapitolhorsham.com
