The Fairtrade Christmas Market has become a very successful part of the Horsham Fairtrade Town campaign over the past five years.

The growth of the Market was marked by its move two years ago from the smaller premises of the Old Town Hall to the larger and better equipped facilities of the church hall of St Johns RC church at its central position off the bottom end of West Street.

Gaynor Cooper, Chair of Horsham Fairtrade Steering Committee said: 'When we are all thinking of others and how we can delight them with our gifts at Christmas let's also remember those who produce those gifts and ensure that we know they have received a living wage in reasonable working conditions.

“At the Fairtrade market you can do this whilst buying wonderful gifts at reasonable prices.”

This year over  20 independent traders from across the south east will be offering Fairtrade and ethically traded goods to tempt shoppers looking for ideas.
