About this year’s event:
An annual celebration of St. George’s Day with approximately 2000 young people and adult volunteers from the Horsham District Scouts and representatives from the Guiding Association. This year, the event takes place exactly on St. George’s Day (23 April) and is being lead by 1st Shipley Scouts.
The event comprises a parade from the Telephone exchange in North Street along a well marshalled route via East Street and culminating in a short service, Scouting presentation and Renewal of Promises at the Carfax Bandstand.
There will be street collections for Chestnut Tree House (Children’s Hospice), and the parade is supported also by The British Legion Band and The Boom Tribe Community (Samba drummers)
