Ashtanga Yoga Improvers' Course Level 2.
Ashtanga Yoga Improvers Course Level 2 is designed to introduce our students to the first half of the Primary Series of Ashtanga vinyasa yoga. This is a therapeutic series, designed to create strength and grace in our body, breath and mind.
We will also learn life elevating and calming breathing and cleansing techniques of yoga, Kriya and Pranayama. Students of all schools of yoga asana are welcome.
The course is held at the studio and on Zoom simultaneously.
During 3 Saturday morning sessions of 2 hours each we'll explore:
- Primary series or Yoga Chikitsa (Yoga Therapy): seated series of Ashtanga vinyasa yoga from Pashimottanasana to Navasana.
- Kriya techniques for Nauli and Kapalabhati.
- Pranayama (breathwork): Nadi Shuddhi and more.
You would need to have at least six months previous yoga experience in any postural yoga style and openness to learn Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and pranayama.
This course is taught by Irina Pashkevich Bourdier, the founder of Iriness and a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals.
