In the town centre: The Carfax is Horsham's retail heart, home to independents old and new - Wakefields Jewellers has been family-run from West Street since 1911, while newer arrivals like Chococo's chocolate house and Whirligig Toys' two floors of creative toys and games sit just around the corner. Waterstones anchors the book trade on the Carfax itself, and Gobsmack Comics in the Swan Walk is Horsham's only dedicated comic and collectibles shop, complete with its own CGC grading service. Three times a week, Carfax Local Markets fills the square with street food, local produce, art and craft from Sussex makers.
Further afield: Out in the district, Westons' Farm Shop near Itchingfield has been run by the same farming family for over 20 years, selling produce grown and reared on their own working arable and beef farm. Music fans can also head to Slipped Discs in Steyning for new and used vinyl, CDs and cassettes.
