Explore the captivating world of scent in this creative, hands-on, fun and informative workshop. You will be introduced to a variety of olfactory materials (essential oils and other fragrance components) - including some special ‘secret’ ingredients which have the ability to magically transform simple blends into perfume. You will also get to know about fragrance ‘families’ and how to recognise them, and have access to a range of perfumery ingredients, before creating your own signature scent.

In this creative session, you'll decorate two jars using a mix of stencils, paints, and a touch of ‘shabby chic’ style, topped off with pretty ribbon. One jar will be transformed into a charming tealight holder (battery tealights included), while the other can be customised as a vase, storage jar, or anything else you fancy. Previous creations have even found life as bird seed dispensers and tip jars!

Two Day Course: Spring Landscape Painting

This two-day practical workshop gives participants the opportunity to develop sketchbook studies and to produce their own personalised landscape painting, or paintings, in acrylic on canvas working both outdoors and in the studio with guided instruction. The workshop is suitable for artists with some previous artistic experience, but all abilities are welcome and individualised feedback will be tailored to each individual’s needs. Participants will explore a variety of approaches to drawing and painting including direct observation en pleine air and working from photographs of the magnificent Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens.
