This workshop will focus on exploring and practising Pilates movement principles.
The exercises will help you to align and refine the way you move; regain and improve your balance; strength; mobility; control and flexibility.
Moving mindfully through the exercises, we will train several muscle groups at once in smooth, continuous patterns to promote awareness of breath and a deeper core connection.
The ultimate goal is to develop more efficient movement patterns that will support you through all aspects of your life.
The addition of props such as bands, balls, circles and sliders will greatly enhance your Pilates practice by introducing a variety of further challenges to increase focus and intensity.
The Pilates methods help regain form and functionality by retraining your body to move in safer, more efficient patterns of movement.
This workshop is suited to regular yoga practitioners and/or attendees of Pilates classes.
