Zach Linfield is a Horsham based racing driver currently competing in a Dutch racing series, Junior Brisca F2, (F2 Junioren). The racing class consists of over one hundred 12–17-year-old aspiring racers. It's a popular and successful stepping stone aiding children to accelerate their skills and abilities into larger formulas across the UK, Europe and even worldwide. Including Brisca F2's which are the adult version of F2 Junioren, using the same cars, but with the contact aspect that the junior class does not allow, Brisca F1, and even classes such as sprint cars, NASCAR, IndyCar and Midget racing in the United states, competing in world famous events such as the Chili Bowl Nationals.
Zach started racing back in 2024, which compared to many drivers, is quite late. He began in a smaller UK-based formula called 'Junior Super Twos,' which are full contact, Superstox-style cars designed for children aged 11-15 to begin their racing careers. He stayed within the formula for two seasons. The formula was competitive and action packed! At the end of the 2025 season, we decided it was time for change; this is when we looked into F2 Junioren. Zach's dad, Matt Linfield, had raced Brisca F2's within the adult class for over 30 years, building a name for the family for Zach to jump into where he was welcomed by all the UK and Dutch drivers with open arms.
Since starting F2 Junioren at the start of 2026, he has competed at both Midland Circuit Lelystad and Raceway Venray, the two tarmac tracks in the Netherlands. The tracks themselves were definitely a step up from his previous UK racing appearances, being much larger and faster. Both tracks, aiding Zach to test his technical racing skills ready for his future in racing. Zach has described his first few months in the F2's as fast, fiercely contested and very rewarding.
The future for young Zach Linfield looks bright, as his vision is to turn this lifelong passion into a career of his own. After his time in F2 Junioren, Zach aspires to race the adult F2 class and hopefully race in a Midget in America to create his own legacy!
