About the event:
There will be two bands performing, one at at 11am - 1pm and one at 2pm - 4pm, every Saturday from May to August, town centre events permitting.
About the band:
Windjammers was formed in 2003, when former members of the Horsham based Mid Sussex Youth Concert decided that it would be a good idea to get together and play some favourite tunes on the Carfax Bandstand, under the baton of Neil Franks, who had been Musical Director of MSYCB from 1991-2003. We have played on both of Horsham's bandstands every year since, and these days, whilst the MSYCB connection is still strong, the band is open to anyone who fancies having a go! Our membership ranges from amateur players to professional musicians, and as well as playing on the Carfax and Park Podium bandstands, we also play in local fetes.
