Back for the first fun Friday of November. The REC rooms comedy night line is....
Opening - DOUGIE DUNLOP
Highly talented observational comic, Dougie Dunlop, has the hardest of his audiences sharing his unique take on life. A comedy youngster, Edinburgh boy Dougie was headlining at the Cafe Royal at the Fringe within two years of starting his act. A star of Scottish TV and radio, Dougie has begun the invasion of the south with appearances on The Beat Room, Through the Night and Velvet Cabaret.
Middle - SY THOMAS
Sy Thomas is an actor, presenter, stand-up comedian, writer, filmmaker (well, low-budget online videos), occasional TV audience warm-up, and deceptively competent table-tennis player.
Sy's wide-ranging acting skills have featured in a wealth of roles on television and online – including CBBC’s 13 part sci-fi sitcom ‘The Revolting World of Stanley Brown’; BBC1’s ‘Richard Hammond’s Secret Service’: Channel 4’s ‘8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’; and online in‘Summer Hoff Love’ alongside David Hasselhoff.
Closing - MARK MAIER
Talented award-winning writer and stand-up, Mark Maier, is an established and highly sought after performer on both the national and international comedy circuits.
He has worked the comedy clubs of Germany, Holland, Ireland, Hong Kong, The Bahamas, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Mark has also appeared in Harry Hill The Movie and in various cameo roles in the series Harry Hill’s TEA-TIME
Amongst his many credits, Mark has taught and performed improvisation with Catherine Tate in London and has had a string of successful radio series, in which he was both writer and performer.
