As we build a months worth of utter talent to celebrate our 1st year anniversary, we are so pleased to bill on the ‘Honestly, we thought it would be fun!’ Tour 2019 as Jake Morrell and Megan O’Neill make their way to the British Country Music Festival.
We just had to bring back Megan, dubbed ‘The Irish Carrie Underwood’ (The Irish Times) as she stole our hearts back in April to critical acclaim. She has teamed up with long time friend, Jake Morrell who you would think has come straight out of Nashville!
Megan is a chart topping and multi-award winning Irish singer songwriter, reaching #1 in the Irish country charts & awarded ‘UK EP of the Year’. In 2018 her new album reached #1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts! Now seen at C2C festival at O2 London, Country Music Week, Cornbury, Black Deer, The Long Road and Nashville Meets London Festival, amongst others.
Jake was ‘discovered’ by Dermot O’Leary, who featured him on his BBC Radio 2 Show. One influential listener just so happened to be Glastonbury boss Emily Eavis, who immediately asked Jake to perform at the iconic festival.
Jake is now one of the county’s favourite new male artists and already has a #2 single under his belt.
Jake has now recorded and released his new single ‘Home’ written & produced with Rolling Stones keyboardist, Matt Clifford.
