JS Bach: Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin
Celebrating 20 years as Head of Strings at CH; violinist Tim Callaghan presents and performs works from what is described as Bach’s most profound canon of music. The solo Sonatas and Partitas have been a foundation stone of violin repertoire since their composition 330 years ago.
Every serious student of the violin has attempted to play the fantastic array of movements, in particular the fully worked out fugues and the monumental D minor Chaconne.
