We remember Joe Cocker plus support
Tonight The Rec Rooms in association with The Eel Pie Club pay tribute to the legendary sounds of Joe Cocker.
An original project with a 5-piece band plus backing singers, led by the charismatic voice of Paul Cox who has a reputation as one of Britain’s finest Blues/Soul singers.
Paul has worked or recorded with the likes of RAY CHARLES, ERIC CLAPTON, PAUL RODGERS, GARY BROOKER, SNOWY WHITE, SAM BROWN & BONNIE TYLER.
Paul Cox never fails to excite his audience thanks to his deep, warm and rocky voice - always sensual. His interpretation of Joe Cocker's repertoire is truly astonishing. Joe Cocker is honoured in a concert where each musician brings a personal touch to express his/her admiration for this great singer who passed away in 2014 who bewitched crowds and touched the hearts of many.
The band features Paul Cox on vocals, Mike Summerland on guitar, Nigel Hardy on bass, Pete Stroud on drums, Dave Moore on keys and backing vocals by Karen O’Connor and Stephanie Whitelock.
