Wind in the Willows
Manor Theatre Group - North Heath Lane - Aug 23, 2019 - 7:30 p.m.
Saturday 24th August is a special outdoor performance in the garden of North Heath Hall. So bring your picnic and blankets!
Friday night will be in the main hall.
This is a new and charming show for all ages, based on Kenneth Grahame's "Wind in the Willows" and is written by Manor Theatre’s own Roger Kidd and Andrew Bates. It includes all of the favourite characters of the original plus a few more!
We follow Mole, Ratty and Badger and their endeavours to keep the effervescent Toad from getting into trouble as he lurches from one hobby to another, causing havoc wherever he goes. Along the way we meet Harry Otter, with his rather un-otter-like, teenage son, Potter and Toad's trusty steed Trotsky, who has his own take on life (mainly grumpy!). Lurking in the shadows are the fearsome Wildwooders, Dad Weasel with sons Reg and Ron Weasel, always threatening to cause upset.
Life becomes difficult for Toad when he becomes too keen on cars and gives the Wildwooders a chance to take over his ancestral home Toad Hall. Can Toad's friends help him get Toad Hall back, who is the mysterious Minkski and will Mole get a decent meal? Be sure to get your tickets to see how this fun filled adventure ends.
