What is the aim of the course?
• Demonstrate simple, but effective Self Defence techniques that anyone can use.
• Cover the theory & practical applications relating to self-protection.
• Identify ways in which you may be able reduce the possibility of becoming a victim.
• Increase self-confidence and safety awareness.
Who is the course for and what level is it aim at?
It is for:
• Complete beginners.
• Anyone from the age of 12, any level of fitness or ability.
What will the course cover?
• Tips on avoiding violent situations.
• Practical techniques and partner work to defend yourself against a potential attacker.
• Awareness of surroundings, yourself, mental attitude and situations.
• Techniques and tips for Self Defence & learning an increased level in Self-Confidence.
• An understanding of how the law is used in relation to self defence.
What can I expect to achieve?
By the end of the course you should be able to:
• Have an increased knowledge of self confidence and self awareness.
• Know your rights regarding the law.
• Feel more confident and safer when out and about.
• Make use of the skills you have learnt so you don't look, or act like a ‘Victim.’
• Be able to fore see potential dangerous situations and act accordingly.
• Use the practical self-defence skills learnt against an attacker if necessary.
• Respond correctly to all types of attacks.
• Recognise your limitations.
