Learn about communications from the past to the present day!
This event mainly takes place in our Connected Earth BT Exhibition, as well as our usual communications displays, there will be several extra displays and demonstrations where staff and volunteers will be on hand to talk, demonstrate and reminisce.
What can visitors see and do at this event:
- See how poles are now tested for decay.
- Discover how fibre optic cables are joined together.
- Learn how a semaphore signalling system works.
- View a collection of commercial vehicles across the site.
- ‘Peter’ our 1918 Bagnall Steam Locomotive, will be taking passengers on the narrow-gauge railway for the day.
