French Gourmet Wine Evening
Friday 30th October - pre-dinner drinks from 7pm, with dinner served at 7.30pm.
Autumn is a wonderful season for lovers of French food - a time of harvests, game and an abundance of rich seasonal produce, giving Nick plenty of inspiration for a very special evening of French food and wine. Joining us for the evening will be Paul Milne from Hallgarten Wines, who will guide us through a selection of French wines chosen to complement each course.
Our Food & Wine Evenings are relaxed, sociable evenings that feel rather more like a dinner party with friends than a formal dining experience.
Starter: Cold Poached Lobster & Granny Smith Apple Salad
Intermediate course: Coquille St Jacques
Main course (pre-selected in advance): Loin of South Lodge Estate Venison, or Pan-Roasted Fillet of Turbot
Optional cheese course: Roasted Peach, Brillat-Savarin Truffé (£12 supplement, pre-selected in advance)
Dessert: Assiette of James's French Desserts
£68 per person - a four-course dinner accompanied by four French wines.
