Did you know that Amberley Museum was one of the main filming locations for the 1985 James Bond Film ‘A View to a Kill’?
In September 1984 locations across Amberley Museum’s old Chalk Pits and Quarry Tunnel were transformed into the fictional Main Strike Mine and objects from the Museum’s collection took on starring roles in the film.
During the day we will be running the ‘Zorin’ locomotive and wagons used in the original filming, including the chance to take iconic photos, and some opportunities for visitors to drive the loco.
