Yin Yoga is a slow physical practice where specific asanas (postures) are held for much longer than in more traditional yoga classes, allowing conscious relaxation of the muscles with time to soften and release.
This is a floor-based class which improves circulation in the joints and increases flexibility of the tendons, ligaments and fascia (the connective tissues that holds us together).
These sessions are excellent for anyone who suffers with muscle and joint stiffness as they facilitate deep stretching.
The slow and calming nature of this workshop facilitates deep physical and mental relaxation, supported by breathing practices.
These two and a half hour workshops are suitable for beginners and for those that already practice Yoga, as everybody will be guided to their own appropriate depth.
The sessions provides time to discuss and explore each posture and to ask plenty of questions.
