The Tipsy Fox is a beautifully refurbished country pub on Worthing Road in Southwater, run by Steve and Charlotte. It's a friendly, relaxed local that welcomes families and dogs, with a large garden for sunny days.
The kitchen serves pub classics with a little finesse, from ale-battered fish and chips and chicken, ham hock and leek pie to signature burgers such as The Fox and The Tipsy Jack. There are small plates, lighter lunches from Monday to Saturday, a Sunday menu with roasts, and vegetarian and vegan choices.
There's plenty going on beyond the food too. The pub has live music on Friday nights, Steve's Not So Serious Quiz, paint and sip evenings and craft workshops. Sport is shown live in UHD, including Sky Sports, and the pub has its own darts team, with newcomers welcome to ask at the bar.
