Horsham Rugby Club is situated on the south east edge of the town surrounded by St Leonard’s Forest in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
It is the premier rugby club in the area running three senior sides, and fields teams in every age group from Under 7 up to Under 19.
The club was formed in 1928 and has a long association with Horsham town. Games were first played on the current site of Horsham Golf Club, and then Horsham Cricket Club and Horsham park before moving to the current site at Coolhurst in 1972.
The club has recently improved its facilities with a new roof to the clubhouse built in 2011, a new kitchen in 2013, refitted men’s and ladies toilets, an upgraded Bar and new decking/patio area in 2014, and a brand new Changing Room Block was completed in August 2017. A floodlit Artificial Grass Pitch suitable for both football and rugby was installed in 2018 and is available for hire.
Horsham Rugby Club is a big part of the town and is at the heart of the local community with many non rugby users of its facilities. The clubhouse and grounds are available for hire being a great venue for indoor and outdoor events.
