Horsham-based toy company Mulberry Bush celebrates 25th Birthday
This week marks 25 years since Jonathan & Shirley Copeland launched Mulberry Bush Ltd. Founded in 1996, they specialise in traditional and innovative toys, gifts & games for children up to the age of about 12. Now led by son Paul Copeland, over the years, Mulberry Bush has dispatched over two million toys to children across the UK and beyond.
As a family business they know how important good old-fashioned service is to their customers – everyone in their team takes great satisfaction in this. Their friendly team know their broad product range well and are always happy to help customers find the right gift for their customers’ children. Tania, Buyer and chief in-house cake-maker(!), made an amazing cake to help celebrate their 25th birthday – pictured here in the warehouse, with some team members. The scaled-down icing sugar ‘toys’ looked amazing and tasted even better!
Since those early days Mulberry Bush has grown steadily, acquiring a number of businesses along the way, including Letterbox a few years back. They have come a long way since they began when they operated out of a spare room from their old family home! Mulberry Bush continues however to operate entirely from Sussex, but nowadays in a dedicated office and warehouse in Slinfold.
The guiding principle of Mulberry Bush has always been to select the type of toy and gift that parents remember with fondness from their own childhood and that grandparents will want to buy for their grandchildren. Mulberry Bush specialises in colourful, well-made toys, many of which are wooden and often hard to find. Their range of personalised gifts for children has been a major focus recently, children just love to receive items with their names on them!
Mulberry Bush would like to thank you to all their customers and to Team Mulberry Bush for 25 wonderful years. Here’s to many many more!
So best wishes from Mulberry Bush, and have a Merry Christmas!
