Horsham District’s top Hot Chocolate Competition winner announced
With a decidedly delicious dozen entries and more from across Horsham District, the champion festive hot chocolate, taken from comments made on the Horsham Time Well Spent Facebook page was The Eye Café at Dixey CB Opticians in West Street, Horsham.
Congratulations go to The Eye Café for their mouth-watering concoction which was described by one customer as ‘delicious, smooth and creamy’.
Close runners up were Pretty Things in Park Place, and D&D in Swan Walk – all in Horsham Town Centre.
The Eye Café will be receiving a digital business winner’s plaque from Horsham District Council. The member of the public winner, drawn at random from those voting, was Dawn Baker who will receive her prize of a fabulous chocolate gift box from local chocolatiers, Cocoa Loco and ‘the opportunity to make chocolates with a member of the Cocoa Loco team in their own home’. All just as soon as conditions allow.
Horsham District Council Cabinet Member for the Local Economy, Cllr Paul Clarke said, “Our team loved running this competition and hope it added some cheer to people’s Christmas shopping experience across the District.
“I was amazed by the quality and choice of the creations that our visitors had to choose from and want to thank all of the businesses that got involved. I hope you saw an upturn in business from our promotion.
“Look out for news of our latest initiatives supporting local independent businesses during lockdown as we continue to champion our Buy Local campaign throughout Horsham District during 2021.”
