John's 'Tree Rex' installed in The Forum
In October, Visit Horsham announced John, aged, 6 as the winner of a competition to design a custom Christmas light decoration in Horsham.
On Saturday, December 7th John was invited to officially launch his Tree Rex. Joining him on The Forum were his family and friends, and members of the public who were keen to see Tree Rex for the first time.
On hand to congratulate him and his family was Garry Mortimer-Cook the Horsham District Council Town Center Manager and Alex from Fiesta Tots who had been one of the judges in the competition.
Tree Rex also appears on tree wraps placed around trees in The Carfax and Medwin Walk. The standard of entries had been so high that all involved with the competition thought that every entry should be on display in the town center.
